The Karman KM-8520 is a heavy-duty wheelchair with a 20 in wide seat, built on a folding aircraft-grade aluminum frame that weighs 35 lb without the footrests. It suits larger users who still want a chair that is reasonable to lift.

The padded flip-back armrests adjust in height, the footrests swing away and detach, and quick-release axles let the rear wheels come off for transport. Anti-tippers and a seat belt come standard, and attendant brakes help a caregiver.
