The Karman KM-5000 is a lightweight reclining wheelchair with a backrest that reclines from 90 to 163 degrees. Its folding aircraft-grade aluminum frame weighs 36 to 38 lb, depending on size, and anti-tippers are included.

Large 24 in rear wheels let the user self-propel. The padded full-length armrests detach, the swing-away footrests elevate, and an adjustable-height head pillow supports the head when the chair is reclined.
