The Hoyer HPL402 is a battery-powered patient lift from Joerns with a 400 lb safe working load. Its handle grips have an ergonomic shape. If the power is off, a mechanical release lever lets the caregiver lower the patient. The actuator is mounted in reverse to give the patient more knee clearance, and an adjustable U-base makes seating and toileting easier.

Patient lifts should be used only by caregivers trained in safe patient handling, with a compatible Hoyer sling sized for the patient.
